WONDERBOY can be described as a coming-of-age crime drama set in rural Michigan. A young man, Dominick, peddling skunk weed in order to make ends meet, is walking a precarious line. Balancing rudimentary academic obligations with a somewhat perilous line of work, Dominic must reconcile a situation that arises when one of his college instructors becomes indebted to him- and attempts to pass off the financial misgiving in exchange for a passing grade. Unable to play fast and loose with his supplier's money, Dominick is forced to make to make a choice- will he swallow a debt he didn't create and cannot afford? Or will he pressure his teacher- using force as a last resort- to pay up?
