ABOUT THE DETROIT WINDSOR INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

The DWIFF brings truth to the term "International", with an event that spans two metropolitan, international cities!  Our Inaugural event in 2008 was a huge success as we brought a bit of fun, film, fame and friendship to downtown Detroit!  And in 2009, we built on this momentum to hold an even bigger event to promote our film culture.  Film lovers mingled with filmmakers throughout Detroit's University Cultural Center and in Windsor. 

For 2010, The DWIFF returns to continue generating new opportunities for you to participate in our film and creative culture and to promote our talented artists and craftspeople who engage in the art of storytelling- through film, video, games, the web, music and more.

This year we have created a new website to showcase the many events, programs, films and people you'll find at the 2010 DWIFF.  Take a look around the site to learn about DWIFF, the films, and our popular 48 Hour Film Challenge, which inspires local filmmakers to show us their craft.  We also will feature many social events that add to the excitement of this wonderful community event!

The Detroit Windsor International Film Festival is a registered Michigan non-profit organization, and is funded through the generosity of our community- with sponsorship, gifts and donations.
